Pakistan edge out Korea 5-2 to secure third place in Asian Hockey Trophy

Team Pakistan secured third place by defeating Korea 5-2 as Ammat Butt led side demonstrated exceptional skill, with Hannan Shahid and Sufian each scoring twice and Roman adding another goal to seal the win.

 

Korea dominated the game in first half, taking an early lead and putting the Pakistani team under significant pressure. Despite mueky start, including a goal conceded by goalkeeper Abdullah, Pakistan staged a remarkable comeback.

 

Green Shirts scored three goals in the third quarter, turning the game in their favor. Although Pakistan’s impressive performance earned them third place, they narrowly missed out on a spot in the final.

 

Their earlier match against China, which was decided by penalty shootouts. China advanced to the final after defeating Pakistan 2-0 in a penalty shootout.

 

Despite a strong performance from Pakistan, the team missed four penalties during the shootout. The match was tied 1-1 after regular time, with goals from China and Ahmed Nadeem for Pakistan.
